Marble is a metamorphic rock created from the metamorphism of limestone, which is formed largely of calcite. Marble is widely produced, with marble quarries all over the world.
Marble Flooring is usually made from square marble flooring tiles. These vary in size from 12" to 24" square. Mesh-backed marble patterns are also available, for areas or borders. These comprise small pieces of marble, cut carefully to size and shape, which are arranged in patterns and mounted on a mesh backing. Marble flooring tiles are available in a wide range of colors, ranging from black and gray through beige and green to white. |

This makes it the perfect flooring choice for houses in the tropical regions. Marble floors are resistant to scratches to quite an extent. So, after installing them, you will not have to worry about your dog's paw nails scratching the floor. Marble comprises of one of the most durable materials used for flooring. It is virtually indestructible. It is not too difficult to keep marble flooring clean and well maintained, especially in low traffic areas. If you want to maintain the luster and shine of your marble flooring, make sure to polish it on a regular basis. Marble flooring is also capable of absorbing and getting stained. If, and when, you manage to get something spilled onto the floor, immediately wipe it off with a damp cloth. While cleaning your marble floor, make sure to keep the products with chlorine at bay. Sweep and vacuum the floor on a daily basis, or as often as possible, to keep it clean and shining. Whenever you want to clean your marble flooring, make use of lukewarm water and soap for the purpose. In case of regular cleaning, wiping the floor with a damp, or barely wet, sponge will work quite well. |
