Since 1857, Kährs has been working in unison with nature in producing superior quality flooring. Its love of wood led to very monumental developments in the wood flooring industry, most notable of which is its introduction of the engineered hardwood and prefinished boards.
In 1941, Gustaf Kähr, the grandchild of the founder, was granted a patent for multi-layer parquet board – the world’s first engineered hardwood floor. To this day, his invention is considered as the basic principle in the manufacture of flooring, as well as in the prudent use of natural resource.
This economical approach to flooring allowed Kährs to introduce factory-applied finishing. Always with the end customer in mind, the company offered the market prefinished floorboards in the 1960s which saved homeowners from incurring site finishing cost.
These, along with other innovations, have propelled Kährs to the leading position it enjoys today. The company has a worldwide reach with its own sales force in 11 countries and net sales of almost EUR 300 million in 2005. Its main customers are builders and retailers, mostly in the European and US markets.
Kährs is Europe’s most popular hardwood brand. Some of its many installations include famous landmarks such as the National Opera House in Prague, Zech republic and the Performing Arts Centre, St. Swithun’s School in Winchester, UK.

Original

These Kahrs wood flooring choices feature Woodloc, their easy click lock system making your wood floor installation quick, easy and glueless. These floors can be installed over Radiant Heat.
Kährs Original is renowned worldwide for its high quality and versatility. The floors can be used in many different types of premises – both domestic and commercial areas. The construction allows the floor to be resanded at least twice during its lifetime.

Studio
Kährs Studio – 7/16″ (11 mm)
The Studio Collection from Kahrs showcases floors with more mineral streaks and character than their other collections. Available in Strip Flooring (2-3/4″ boards) and Mega Strip Flooring (4″ boards). These natural floors can be found here in domestic woods and exotics. Tongue and Groove construction.
Kährs Studio offers endless possibilities to reflect your personality. The floors are available in different species and two strip sizes. Kährs Studio lets you design your own floor, your creativity is the only limit.
Floors with personality. Floors of pure elegance. Kährs Studio & Mega Strip Collection features floors with character. Each piece of flooring shows color variation and may have mineral deposit spots indicative of the wood’s age. Kährs Studio & Mega Strip Collection can be installed nail/staple down or glued to the subfloor.

Linnea
Kährs Linnea – 1/4″ (7 mm)
Kährs Linnea is one of the hardest floors in the Kährs range, designed primarily for use in housing. The floors combine an attractive appearance, simple installation and low installation height. Note that the floors are not resandable.
