Collections

Garrison Hardwood Flooring Collections

The GARRISON® II: The GARRISON II Collection is a second generation of fine, hand-distressed, engineered hardwood flooring. The grade of wood found in this collection is called “mill run” which offers the spectrum of grading from select to rustic. The entire natural beauty of the tree can only be seen in this type of flooring and is nowhere as beautifully accentuated than with the species and colors of The GARRISON II Collection.

GARRISON Deluxe®: “The Best of Both Worlds!” GARRISON Deluxe is a selection of species and colors that are among the top sellers in our GARRISON II and Time Inspired by GARRISON lines. We have taken the best and made it better by increasing the wear layer to a very “beefy” 5 mil and also increasing the width of the boards to 6 inches wide! Not just the best, better than the best…..Deluxe!

Carolina Classic®: North Carolina produces some of America’s finest hardwood. In that same tradition, skilled hands of Carolina Classic woodcrafters have created a line of engineered flooring with a personality all its own. With their creative imagination, each plank is individually hand distressed using different tools and techniques, and then beautifully stained and fine finished. This process ensures that no two pieces are exactly identical. With a choice of four species and a spectrum of a dozen luxuriant colors, you can be assured that no other floor in the world will look exactly like yours!

Crystal Valley®: Solid distressed white oak, and engineered smooth white oak. Others try, none do it as well as Garrison with the best wood, the thickest wear layer, a solid finish, and the most competitive pricing.

Da Vinci®: Leonardo Da Vinci was not only one of the greatest painters of all time, but he also greatly advanced the state of knowledge in many fields of study. In the same way, Da Vinci by GARRISON has advanced the quality, beauty, and originality of prefinished hardwood flooring. The unique handcrafting of our Da Vinci line includes weathering of selected boards with worm holes and dings, followed with antiquing french bleed, and stain colors and finishing that even Leonardo himself would have been proud to have in his house!

Time Inspired®: Fashions change, but true style spans the ages. That is the genius behind the Time Inspired Collection by GARRISON. Our rustic character grade flooring is hand scraped and sanded over to give an antiqued yet warm and welcoming appearance that will enrich your home. The Time Inspired Collection is enhanced with a unique palate of deep, rich colors that are finished to bring out that richness and beauty in a way that is not duplicated in other prefinished products on the market today.

Red River®: Birch has never looked this good. Two widths of six colors accentuated by a French bleed and an antiquing distress, make this line unique with an unsurpassed value.

Bamboo

Garrison Bamboo Flooring

Garrison Bamboo flooring is made from quick growing bamboo stalks, found throughout most of southeast Asia.Garrison Bamboo is unique and beautiful and offers tremendous interior design flexibility. It provides a unique grain and distinctive coloring. Garrison Bamboo is prefinished, ready for installation whether nail down or glued directly to a concrete surface, as it is a laminated (engineered) product. Maintenance for this product is the same as most pre-finished flooring products, light damp mop on occasion, with frequent sweeping and/or vacuuming.

Care

Garrison Hardwood Floor Care and Maintenance

Keep in mind, like any floor covering, hardwood floors will show signs of wear over time, depending on the size and lifestyle of your family. By observing a few precautions and setting up a regular cleaning routine and maintenance program, you can expect years of beauty from your floor. The following are examples of the simple and necessary maintenance you should perform to help keep your floors looking great. This is not intended to be an exclusive list.

  • Dirt, grit and sand act like sandpaper to scratch, dent and dull hardwood floors.  You should place floor mats at exterior entrances to trap dirt.
  • Avoid walking on floor with high heels or spiked shoes.
  • Sweep, vacuum or dust mop at least weekly since built-up grit can damage the surface of the wood. The vacuum head should be a soft brush or felt type to avoid scratching. Be certain the wheels of the vacuum are clean and that they roll softly so that they do not damage the finish. DO NOT USE A VACUUM WITH A BEATER BAR HEAD.
  • Use area rugs in high traffic areas and pivot points (e.g., stair landings, room entries, etc.), especially if you have a large family or indoor pets.
  • Rubber backed rugs are not recommended as discoloration may occur due to plasticizers migrating out of some rug backings. Instead, rubber liners/pads that are made especially for rugs over hardwood floors are recommended. These liners also have holes in them for the wood to breathe and can be found at your local home improvement and some hardwood flooring stores.
  • Remove all spills promptly using a soft cloth and recommended cleaning products. Any spills with acidic properties like pet urine, soda, etc. should especially be cleaned as soon as possible. Long periods of time uncleaned will likely damage your floor.
  • NEVER drench-mop, wet-mop, or flood your floor with water or other products. This can severely damage the flooring and will void the warranties. The use of a Swiffer® or other similar product that is lightly damped with a recommended cleaner is highly recommended. Do not use hardwood floor cleaning machines.
  • Use an approved maintenance and floor-care products, such as but not limited to Woodwise or DuraSeal cleaning products. Follow specific instructions on bottle.
  • IMPORTANT: Do not use oil soaps, liquid or paste wax products or other household cleaners that contain lemon oil, tung oil, silicon or ammonia since the warranty will not cover damage caused by non-recommended products. Use of these and other such products will harm the long-term performance of your floor and may also affect its recoat ability.
  • Keep pets’ nails trimmed, and paws clean and free of dirt, gravel, grease, oil, and stains, etc.
  • Place protective pads beneath furniture legs and feet to reduce scratches and dents.
  • Use a dolly and protective sheets of plywood when moving heavy objects, furniture or appliances.
  • Make certain furniture casters are clean and operate properly (a minimum 1” width is recommended).
  • Exposure to the sun and its UV rays accelerates the oxidation and aging of wood and fabrics. This causes the stain and/or wood to fade and change color. We recommend closing curtains and blinds or adding sheer drapes to protect the floor from intense and direct sunlight. Rearrange rugs and furniture periodically so that the floor ages evenly. The warranty does not cover damage from the sun and its UV rays.

By following these few simple rules today, you can enjoy your new Garrison Collection floor for years to come and minimize the need for repair and refinishing tomorrow!
